The Town of Dover, Tennessee, is governed by a Mayor, Vice-Mayor, and Aldermen.  The Town Administrator is appointed by the Board of Mayor and Alderman and is responsible for the town's daily operations and supervises all departments of the Town except otherwise provided by ordinance.

The Dover City Council meets on the second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at the Dover City Hall located at 625 Donelson Parkway, Dover, Tennessee.
 

The Town of Dover has a dedicated staff of public servants who help to provide the following services to our community:  water, sewer, police, fire, street maintenance, and garbage pickup.  

The property tax is $0.7727 per $100 assessment in Dover.

Dover is the county seat of Stewart County and is one of two incorporated cities.

City Hall office hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and the phone number is (931) 232-5907.  Automatic bank draft for utility payments is available upon request.  The drop box is located near the drive-thru and is available for payments after hours.
